Sync chain is not working

I reinstalled Windows on my PC and Installed the newest Version on Brave on it.
When I try to sync via my Android Phone it doesnt work.
I spelled the exact same 24 words and it says “invalid sync code”

Both Desktop version and android Version of Brave are at the latest update

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. go to settings >Sync > Sync start > I have a sync code
  2. type your 24 word sync code in there
  3. Press enter

this should lead to a successfull chain, but it says: Invalid sync code, try again
