"Sync chain created by degraded installation of Brave"

**Description of the issue:**Replacing Samsung Laptop Win 11 with VivoBook Win 11 and trying to sync Brave I created a Sync chain on the Samsung and pasted it into the VivoBook to get the message “Sync chain created by degraded installation of Brave”. No indication as to how to repair the degraded installation which is working perfectly well.

**Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.**I have not tried to reproduce this. Why would I?

Version 1.73.104 Chromium: 131.0.6778.204 (Official Build) (64-bit)

**Type of devices currently running on the Sync chain in question:**Windows laptop PCs

**Additional Information:**None that I can think of but happy to provide any that may help.

Flash of inspiration in the wee small hours. Set up new Sync chain From the new laptop to the old. Instant success!
