Switching from "Block all cookies" to "Block cross-site cookies" in Shield drop-down menu makes third-party cookie exception for that site

Using the Brave shield drop-down menu to switch a site’s cookies permission from “Block all cookies” to “Block cross-site cookies” creates a third-party cookie exception for that site in Site Settings. Removing the exception doesn’t seem to affect website function on the two sites I’ve tested it on drastically, and the exception does not seem to return when the same site is visited with the same setting (“Block cross-site cookies”). However, just to test it, switching from “Block cross-site cookies” to “Block all cookies” and back again creates another third-party exception if the previous one was removed. Maybe I’m just not understanding the difference between cross-site and third-party cookies. Why does switching from “block all” to “block cross-site” allow third-party cookies?

Android 13, Brave 1.64.113

Can you share a site in which you see this behavior occur, as well as an example of the cookie that was added when swapping between Shields modes?

Oh dear! So, I’m terribly sorry! I just tested a few other sites and realized I was mistaken. Switching the cookie setting creates a third-party block for that site in settings, not a third-party exception. My apologies for not reading it right. I feel foolish for wasting your time. Can I delete this thread? lol
