Not switching to the newly opened link in a new tab drives me nuts! How hard can that be? Make it an option if users are content with the current behavior. argh!

Firefox has this kind of option to quickly go to the newly opened tab. However, one of the great thing with Brave ( also any other chromium browser ) is that you can swipe on the bottom panel and it will navigate through tabs. This is ofcourse not the solution to your problem but it will come handy.
