Suggestions to add + button on the bottom tab of Brave mobile

Hi Brave Team,

I’m writing as a long-time and dedicated Brave user. While I appreciate Brave’s features, there’s one thing of the brave Android browser that I find a bit cumbersome. Currently, opening a new tab requires tapping the tabs button, then the plus icon, and finally typing in the search bar. This process adds unnecessary steps.

I would like to suggest the option to customize the bottom tab in the Android app at least give the option to users. Personally, I would find it very useful to have a “+” button directly on the bottom tab, perhaps replacing the search or home icon, as I rarely use those. Ideally, tapping this “+” button would take me directly to the address bar. I believe this small change could significantly streamline the browsing experience and save users countless taps.

On the basis that you have the toolbar set at the bottom, in Settings go to Homepage and set to Off. This will replace the Home button with one for the NTP.
