Suggestions not coming in address bar

I’m using brave browser on my Windows 10 and apparently, suggestions are not coming in the address bar. For example when you start typing “fantastic beasts the…” google chrome suggests “fantastic beasts the crimes of grindelwald”. u get it right?

I thought it would be available by default as brave is forked version of chromium. I don’t know the exact cause but i sincerely hope that it gets fixed soon.

Setting “Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar” in the Privacy and security section is turned off by default. Is this maybe the cause?

yes! that was it. though i dont remember disabling it in the first place.

Yes, like @jcloud said the prediction service is disabled by default and need to turn it on manually.
