Description of the issue:

Standard version of Brave is not shown in the browser list when importing bookmarks into Brave Beta

This is the list that is shown:

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. In Brave Beta, open the Menu
  2. Choose Bookmarks, then Import bookmarks and settings.
  3. Click on the dropdown list showing the browser to import from.
  4. The standard (old) version of Brave is not in the list.

Expected result:

The standard version should be in the list so I can import into Brave Beta.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.18.51 Chromium: 87.0.4280.49 (Official Build) beta (64-bit) / Windows 10

I believe this is expected – I think there’s also an open issue to add this capability. That said, are you trying to import all data from Brave stable into Beta? Or just bookmarks? I ask because bookmarks and passwords can be exported/imported directly (as opposed to using Import bookmarks and settings option).

I was just trying to import bookmarks. I ended up exporting the bookmarks from Standard and then importing them into Beta.

You also can use Brave Sync for this. :thinking:
