hasn’t been fixed yet however for me i realized that using the mini-player pop out stops it from crashing and you can just drag it out of the way into a corner or on a new desktop, figured this out 2 days ago and it hasn’t crashed while doing this yet. not sure why it works but it does i guess. maybe has to do with the mini player keeping the tab active since it appears on top of all other tabs
I listen to Spotify in background (like probably everybody) and I noticed that when I open Developer tools (using F12) Spotify is more stable and don’t crash that often.
Still crashing in v1.69.168
I am having this issue for months. I am on Mac with the latest versions of Brave and Chrome. Versions:
Brave: ([Version 1.70.117 Chromium: 129.0.6668.59 (Official Build) (arm64)
]
Chrome: Version 129.0.6668.59 (Official Build) (arm64)
This does not happen in Chrome or Firefox. Only in Brave. Mac has 32 GB of RAM. It also happens in Private Mode in Brave. So, this is definitely a Brave problem.
You are genius:D Its working and from now its not crashing anymore
Crashing for me playing live sports video from ESPN+. Full screen mode.
Brave beta version 1.71.104 Chromium 129.0.6668.89 (Official build) beta (64-bit)
Windows 11 23H2
Memory 16GB
By the way, I also tried to exclude open.spotify.com on Brave inactive tab list so that it does not crash, but this did not help either. It is still happening.
(bandcamp) works fine in Chrome for me, seems to be specifically Brave that it crashes out of memory
To fix this issue, put your ad-blocker (shields) to aggressive. This has fixed my issue for a long time now
Landed fix, so it works better (the same) in Standard blocking mode.
working fine with
Version 1.71.118 Chromium: 130.0.6723.70 (Build officiel) (64 bits)
Hello @fanboynz , yes, it is now working fine for me as well. Thanks for the fix!
