Spotify - [High Memory Usage Over 4GB]

I have a problem while using Spotify; it takes up useless RAM while running the music, which takes up most of my 16 GB of RAM, and then says memory has run out. This happens on the phone and my PC; it takes over 4GB of RAM on the PC before it crashes (of course I have other tabs, but Spotify takes up the most). For my phone, it’s like 1-3gb of RAM, depending on the background apps. then I have to manually open it again :frowning:

Lately I’m having this issue too, something I use to not have a few months ago.

I’m hoping some kind of staff will address this.

yep it’s Shields causing this, solution is to disable it for Spotify and use a userscript that blocks ads on Spotify until @fanboynz comes out with a fix.
