(SOLVED) Webtorrent Keeps Being Reenabled After Fix To Turn Off Is Applied

yesterday i asked about disabling wentorrent cause i want to use deluge. i was given a link to a thread on github that has a solution that worked perfectly, but it seems that when i close the browser the fix breaks. i’d like to create a shortcut that when clicked launches terminal, executes the fix which launches brave once applied. just closed brave and i noticed the following in terminal. pretty sure i didn’t get that using the fix on the release version.

Is this error on clean profile?

If the profile is not clean, maybe you don’t have the permissions to access the profile?

i have full access, so not the issue. currently seems to be behaving, fingers crossed it stays that way. looks like it won’t be a issue much longer, a switch was just added to setting for the latest dev.

i switched to the dev and the fix seems to be working without any errors, and without reverting back to using webtorrents.
