SOLVED - Messages sent or replied to in Office 365 remain in draft and outbox folders



Description of the issue:
Messages sent or replied to in Office 365 remain in draft and outbox folders
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):

  1. Open Outlook Web Access (Office 365)
  2. Reply to an email
  3. Email is sent but also remains as draft and in outbox

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Multiple versions (sent, draft, outbox of the same email

Expected result:
Email only in sent items folder

Reproduces how often:
Systematic whatever the email or addressee. Brave shields disabled and pop up/redirects allowed.

Brave Version(about:brave):
Version 0.55.22 Chromium: 70.0.3538.77 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Reproducible on current live release (yes/no):

Additional Information:
Works fine with Edge or even regular Chrome


I don’t see this on my end, using Brave official release v0.55.22
When I begin to compose an email, it will appear in drafts as you described (and as expected). But once the email is sent it gets removed from Drafts:


Are you using an MS Outlook account or are you linking Gmail or some other mail client to your outlook account?


I am using an Office 365 corporate account, not the free service.


You are right with account no problem. it is probably some weird javascript in the office365 web interface doing this

No the problem remains with Office 365 account ( It does not happen with an account.


I have identified the problem. It happens when ‘offline access’ is enabled in the settings. It is probably related to an improper Brave management of local storage data. i do not find settings for local data storage in Brave,


@Pitape, what operating system are you using? Looks like macOS in the video.
Brave data is stored in ~library/Application Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-browser/


Problem identified. This is not a Brave issue but a server side configuration option. Thanks
