SOLUTION - ADs no longer appearing - macos, desktop

Hi all.

It’s been a couple of months that I’ve no longer been receiving/viewing ads.

Ads are enabled, frequency is set - I checked my notification settings from the Support Centre…nothing is working, getting frustrated. Ugh!

OS: MacOS High Sierra
Brave:
Version 1.33.106 Chromium: 96.0.4664.110 (Official Build) (x86_64)

It would help…and I understand that the staff from Brave are VERY busy…if there was SOME support from the brains at Brave to assist us with our issues.

The browser isn’t functioning properly and there’s no help to be found.

So frustrating.

Hi all, here’s a solution that worked for me that Terry assisted with.

Issue:
Not popup Ads

Setup:

1. MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6
2. Notifications set to show Brave notifications and Do Not Disturb is disabled.

Solution:

1. Open Brave
2. Goto: brave://flags/
3. Locate “Enable Brave Ads custom push notifications”
4. Select the drop down to “ENABLE”
5. Restart the browser

So now the browser will push the popup ad instead of through MacOS Notifications.
