So is there any way to toggle ad blocker of brave?

so i am watching a video on youtube and i got a warning that’s says

"Video player will be blocked after 2 videos

  • It looks like you may be using an ad blocker. Video playback will be blocked unless YouTube is allowlisted or the ad blocker is disabled."

that’s why i am rising a request of if there is any option in brave to sabotage this warning or toggle ad blocker off ?? so that i could enjoy watching videos ?

YouTube vs. AdBlock [-ing, -ers] . . . is a running battle. Plenty of reports over time, here at the Brave Community. YouTube does something; Brave responds ← “rinse and repeat”:

Other info:

My observations - here at the Brave Community - have been:

  • BB users who sign in to the Google-Sphere, report more often than BB users who are guests.

  • Both of those BB user categories sometimes find that using a VPN -AND- flipping through some of the available VPN connections, manages to restore the “expected behavior” (ie success).

In general, YouTube is more sensitive to adblock issues with Google-Sphere (Google eco-system) members. And Internet browser extensions make such issues more complex.

Brave Shields tips:

I have more success, with:

  • Brave Shields UP
  • Either Allow All Cookies or Block 3rd Party Cookies, but NOT Blocking All Cookies
  • Allowing JavaScripts from specific sources, but NOT Allowing All JavaScripts
  • Trackers & Ads treatment: Aggressive (at first), and then incrementally relaxing that setting
  • Fingerprinting (aka footprinting) blocking: Strict (at first), and then incrementally relaxing that setting

I almost NEVER use:

  • All of Brave Shields UP
  • All of Brave Shields DOWN
