How hard would it be to move from Chromium to Firefox?
Short answer: moving is impossible. Chromium and Gecko (Firefox) are completely different engines and not compatible between each others.
Building brave over Gecko would mean re-developing most of the features. And gecko may be lacking many functions that are present in Chromium.
Second point: Why? What would be the advantages? What is your motivation to have Brave over gecko?
Maybe answering these questions could lighten the pros and cons of this suggestion.
Consider that Firefox has been loosing usage share. According to StatCounter usage dropped from 30% to 9% between 2009 and 2019. In the same period Chrome climbed from 3% to 68%.
Not really appealing going into Gecko direction.
