Sites think Brave is an adblocker

#1

Some web sites think Brave is an ad blocking plugin.

Ex: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/asia_pacific/the-high-tech-jobs-that-created-indias-gilded-generation-are-disappearing/2017/06/22/815f1d0e-5588-11e7-9e18-968f6ad1e1d3_story.html

Makes Brave unusable on such sites, no?

Hi @dagnyg,

There’s an open issue related to anti-ad blocker in WP:
https://github.com/brave/browser-laptop/issues/9325

Thank you,

A workaround is to block all cookies from the top right lion icon. It should disable the adblocker warning message.

#4

Does NOT work for forbes, com The setting causes that site to loop back to the “welcome” screen. URL https://www.forbes.com/forbes/welcome/?toURL=https://forbes.com/&refURL=&referrer=

that workaround is for WP. you should be able to open forbes page with the default adblock setting. please try https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidhutt/2017/08/18/why-india-takes-a-backseat-to-china-in-media-coverage.
