Sidebar opens the width of Reading List

ANY method (also L/R side) of opening Sidebar produces a window rather than allowing the selection of a Bookmark icon:
open the sidebar, icon/hover/always/left or right

  1. opens with a window width like I’ve selected Reading List
  2. same left/right edge hover never (icon)
  3. takes up real-estate

Expected result: thin panel with icons to call Reading List and additional Saved Websites URL’s

I get how annoying it can be when the sidebar takes up too much space. You can try adjusting the sidebar width manually by dragging its edge. It might also be helpful to file a feature request for a slimmer sidebar with just icons in the Feature Requests section.
