Description of the issue: On a daily basis I’m forced to restart the browser, because some of the menu items stop working.
It happens when hitting command + I to share a website by email. This often causes Brave to quit unexpectedly without showing a system dialogue to send the diagnostic to Apple. Not sure, whether Brave receives the crash log.
When the browser doesn’t quit, it ends up disabling several menu items. Thus, when I need to open a new tab using keyboard shortcuts (cmd + T), nothing happens. Also, the corresponding menu item is dimmed.
How can this issue be reproduced?
Hitting keyboard shortcuts for sharing a page URL by email (cmd + I)
When hitting command + T a new tab should open, but nothing happens.
Expected result:
A new email message should open with the URL in its body. However, sometimes the browser quits unexpectedly, or creates two email message windows.
Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.76.82 Chromium: 134.0.6998.178 (Official Build) (arm64)

Do you have to drag thru the area of the link ← highlight that area, and then right-click to get the pop-up menu -then- submenu?
Hmm… no, wait a minute. The Share selection is equivalent of the Share button in some pop-up menus, so what you are doing with Shift + Command + I is attempting to open your Apple Mail app. ?
And the link of interest is already-and-magically within the body of the e-mail message?
I have not been near a modern MacOS computer with OS Sequoia, so I am uncertain how the MacOS User Interface appears to be, these days.
Yes, that’s correct. The Shift + Command + I shortcut triggers Apple Mail. I would press the keyboard shortcut for that. Seldom would I go through the menu.
If you go through the menu(s), instead of using the Shift + Command + I . . . and proceed to dispatch (send) the e-mail message . . . so your e-mail task is complete . . .
After that, does the Command + T for opening a new tab, work?
@helper1 has an issue, where, after some usage of Keyboard Shortcuts while running Brave Browser (MacOS), eventually “Several Brave Browser menu items become inaccessible.”
@helper1,
So I can’t reproduce this particular issue, but I do see that in Nightly (v1.79.6) the browser crashes when I used the Shift + Cmd + I shortcut. When I boot it back up it boots normally and I can restore my pages. I cannot reproduce this issue on stable or beta releases. Can you confirm for me that the browser is fully up to date at this time and that you still see the issue regardless?
