Seeing really LONG yotube ads on Brave (with shields Down)

Even with Shields Down, Youtube is showing me ads as long as two minutes, and sometimes more than one. When I use Safari, I get the usual shorter ads. So I can no longer spend the time it takes to watch Youtube on Brave, I have to watch them on Safari.

It seems like Youtube doens’t like Brave overall, not hust it’s shields.

What can I do to stop this from happening?

Use and install the AdBlock for YouTube extension from chrome store it will kill the YouTube ads it works well with brave and has no conflicts with the Brave shields.

If you have your shields DOWN for YT, then Brave have no control to protect you from ads and which ads/how long ads appears on site.

You may want to learn more about shields https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/categories/360001053072-Shields and change your shields to UP for YT. This way, Brave will protect you from ads.

Yes, I understand that. But what I’m saying is that Youtube really doesn’t like something still because my ads are minutes long on Brave, and on Safari or Chrome they are only the usual 15-30 seconds with skip ability early on. Youtube is disliking something still in Brave.
