I’ve been using Brave now for a couple years, but am about done. Every time Brave updates it opens all of your security settings to allow darn near everything. Google, Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin are all reset to allow, when you specifically turn them off (Settings, Social Media Blocking). Under Privacy and Security, 3PA are turned back on, as is automatically send data to Brave. Under Extensions, Allow Google extensions is turned on, so is Hangouts. Under Wallet, Brave wallet is turned back on.
The last time I reset all of these settings for the umteenth time, I said “next time I would log and comment on them.” For being a browser that prides itself on security, it seems to go out of its way to make your use public to themselves and all of the social enemies of privacy and freedoms.
