Secure DNS - cant use Quad9?

Setting a Custom Secure DNS to Quad9 (https://dns.quad9.net/dns-query) and then using the Quad9 check page of https://on.quad9.net/ reports that Quad9 is not being used.
It therefore looms like the custom DNS is set when it actually isn’t.
This is using Brave ‘Version 1.75.175 Chromium: 133.0.6943.54 (Official Build) (arm64)’

Do Quad9’s resolvers appear when testing with a different tool such as https://www.dnscheck.tools/ ?

No - it shows the AdGuard VPN servers which I’ve not used for ages. I used to use the AdGuard VPN extension.

Ah ha after clearing the browser cache the Quad9 validation page works!

The page you reference still shows the AdGuard servers though. Weird.
