Second display problem

Hello, I’m new to Brave on my Windows 10 PC.
I use two monitors for work. Whenever I open a second instance of Brave, the welcome page appears, where I always have to skip the questions first. That bothers me. How can I disable it?

And the second problem, top left, under the refresh, back and forward bar, I have 3 selection windows, Default, shop&travel and Recommended. This is also annoying. How do I disable it?

Sorry for my English, I translated it with Google.

Thank you for the help, Nick

When you open a new instance, you are you simply opening a new Brave window? Or is it a new profile?

Can you share a screenshot of what you’re seeing here?

I dont have any profile, i open a new Brave window

For the second image, this is not a part of Brave but is likely related to an extension you have installed in the browser. It looks like you have a speed dial extension of some kind installed which is likely the source of this.

Please try disabling it to see if the issue persists.

Ok, thx , this is from the Speeddial, i change it.

Now there is only the first problem…

If you go through the welcome tour (where it eventually lands you on the new tab page), visit a site, then close and reopen the window, does the issue still occur?

yes sir, it’s like that every time you start Brave.

@NickF can you confirm what you have your Settings --> Get started --> On startup set to?

Additionally, can you confirm that, even if the welcome screen appears every time, is the rest of your browsing data (history, bookmarks, etc) saved in the browser when you close/relaunch it? Or is all your data erased every time you launch the browser?

No, on Startup i have Open new Tab Page.

Yes, i can confirm this one. The browsing Data were not erased, they saved.

For example, I have a download running on monitor 1. Then I open the second instance of Brave on monitor 2 and surf the Internet. Only when I’m finished do I close a Brave browser and then go to the settings in the open Brave browser and delete my entire history, etc.

But, now, here is the solution:

With yesterdays Update on Brave, it works fine and normally.

Thx a lot.

Not entirely sure what caused it but I am glad the issue appears to have resolved itself. Will close this thread for now. Please don’t hesitate to reach out again if this or another issue occurs.
