Have to close the app every time I want to use it, but doesn’t always work, killing the app generally works.
I think the Multiple tab option in settings was the problem, not entirely sure this is the issue but so far so good. It’s been driving me crazy… but without Brave I wouldn’t be using YT on my phone.
Oh gosh… You’re making the hair on my arms stand up lol. You have to remove all of that “app”'s permissions, or it’s just active all the time. I should check mine, because when I’m going to youtube to get links and then watch the same video in invidious (eg: https://inv.nadeko.net/watch?listen=false&v=l7olzpYXQmQ), sometimes my screen in youtube’s “web app” will turn black because I’ve just performed a little pivot step. However, just executing any function from here lights the screen back up again, like switching tabs (button). You don’t need to actually switch tabs, it just sort of un-=freezes that tabs state. (the youtube web app tab).
The only other problem I ever have is the “it looks like you’re using an adblocker” message. But a message isn’t really a problem, it’s just a confirmation. It’s nice of them to let me know my changes have been saved without having to communicate with their api. <3

Problem hasn’t gone away, but it could be relative to Android. I don’t use YT App. Only Brave. I don’t get any messages, just the screen goes inactive and then switches off. The browser is up to date. For each session, I have to kill the app to prevent the screen switching off.
I think it was due to the fact I had the Inactive setting for tabs set to None. Not entirely sure this is the reason but will report back. It would make sense if this is the case. Duh!
Nope the problem persists, tried everything. Works fine once then it never resumes normal function, YT playing doesn’t keep screen awake in full screen mode or otherwise. Am I the only experiencing this problem!!?
