Screen goes black out when using Brave

Not sure if its just me but my laptop’s screen usually goes blackout like this for couple of seconds and then go back to normal. Any idea? It’s quite annoying, havent experienced this with Chrome or any other Browser before. This happens like every 10 20 minutes

@clirous Welcome to community. On which brave version you are seeing this issue? Is it a fresh profile or upgraded one? Can you uninstall and re-install brave and see whether issue gets resolved?

Fresh install- try below steps:

  1. Uninstall all Brave versions from Control Panel
  2. Remove BraveSoftware folder from C:\Program Files (x86)\BraveSoftware
  3. Remove BraveSoftware from AppData\Local\BraveSoftware
  4. Download and install Release/Beta/Dev/Nightly

Latest released version is 0.64.77

Please revert back if it doesn’t fix the issue.

I have re-installed couple times before and I am using the latest version too Version 0.64.77 Chromium: 74.0.3729.169 (Official Build) (64-bit). Is there any other solution?

Can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration? You’ll find this setting in:
Settings --> Advanced --> System --> Hardware Acceleration
