Saving 10 digit phone numbers

The autofill adresses feature doesn’t seem to work with US phone numbers. It insists on automatically prefixing the +1 country code, contrary to the 10-digit number every website requires.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Attempt to edit the phone number of a a stored address.

Expected result:
Users should be able to save any phone number we want with any number of digits we want.
