It seems like in addition to wanting you to sign up for emails, every website now wants you to opt in for notifications. I have never found value in them and do not need more notifications in my life. Sure it doesn’t take a lot of time to decline manually but every second adds up (as is so nice to see when I open a new brave tab). What do you think?

We’re currently working on a “Deny all” notifications option that can be seen here:
If your primary concern is the prompt coming up for notifications specifically, you can block all requests to display notifications by navigating to
Settings --> Advanced --> Privacy and Security --> Content --> Notifications
Toggle this option off and you should be good to go.
NOTE: This will not stop sites from prompting you for other permissions - for example, to user your microphone or access your location.
