Running background javascript

Hello,

I have two javascripts set as bookmarks (they start with javascript:) for a browser idle clicker game. One keeps clicking and the other stops it. They work if the window is in focus, but stop working if it is not.
Back on Vivaldi, I was used to opening the game in a new window, clicking the start bookmark, and let it click minimized even when I was working with the main window.
On Brave, the script stops executing unless I bring the window to focus. I tested this with a new private window, and it behaves the same. I also tried disabling all the various shields and so forth. The option to let Brave run in the background is also checked.

Thank you for an advice.

Please edit your Original Post (“OP”) above, in order to provide more details.

For example, in your first paragraph, “One keeps clicking” is vague; what is “One”? And, “the other” is vague.

You need to spell out things and avoid using “it”, “they”.

What is the, or a, “clicker game”? What activity occurs, per “click”?
