I downloaded Brave years ago to test it out. Recently downloaded again to try out the online earnings. Am in Australia and could only use UpHold to pay my rewards to. This didn’t work for me. So Yesterday I downloaded Brave again. Pity, because it looked quite good. How does one sort not having a payment system in place?

UpHold didn’t work for me. Neither would Gemini work as this will only work via North Amercia.

No, it’s Uphold or nothing for most countries until on chain payments arrive later this year.
Yes I know UpHold is available in Australia. But I couldn’t get Brave to log into it to get any rewards.

Yeah. I guess just was having to find out your issue. Some people get the notice about their region being unsupported, such as if they created Uphold when they were in Vietnam but then they move to Australia and update the address. They think things would be fine but don’t realize passport has to show they are from Australia.
Or in other cases, it just simply says “try again later” or something of the sort. Or might be country mismatch or something. There’s a lot of possible errors or problems that can occur. Hence why I mentioned you providing more details would be a lot more helpful.
If everything seems fine and it just didn’t connect, it may be that you should try again. Maybe even clear cookies and/or restart your device. But no clue what you’re experiencing so hard to give much of a definitive answer.
