Restoring my browser with backup phrase causes total loss of tokens

I restored my browser with my seed phrase and wiped out all $8.00 of tokens.  Its still my account and has record of who to donate to but registers as insufficient funds to donate with.
  1. Write down your backup seed phrase.
  2. Restore your account with seed phrase.
  3. Poof, your tokens disappear!
  4. (Added bonus; the brave triangle button in address bar still displays a “!” every day to remind
    me to backup my seed phrase adding insult to injury.)
