Restore Old TabSearch button through Flags

The old tab search icon was removed for the new toolbar one, which I don’t like.

My problem is disabling the new tab search icon in the toolbar and reversing to the old one. I changed some broswer flags, to be specific, #tabsearch-toolbar-button, to disabled. I thought this would work but upon disabling it the new tabsearch in the toolbar still remains there. So I decided to change #tabstrip-combo-button to background instead of default which I believe is toolbar. Same thing, Nothing happened. In the end I disabled tabstrip and for some reason this is what happened

The old and new tab search icons appeared and for some reason the old one (the one ontop) doesn’t work and sometimes crashes brave.

This is my brave version

I want to restore my old tab search button. If someone can please test out what I did and tell me if they get the same result just to see if its a problem with my browser or universal problem. Thanks

And Brave devs keep insisting we should update and not updating is bad.
Now they push Open New Tab from context menu 3 rows down. I told you brave would f things up. This is why users want option to disable update

@AinoNotKnow this was removed upstream by Chromium. You can put in a Brave Feature Requests for it but it’s unlikely to return.

To be clear, crashing is happening after you changed flags around or with the default settings?

I crash after I click the old icon after I changed the flags

I created an account on this site in hopes that this gets traction. I would love to have the old button back, as it wasn’t in a crowded list like the old one.
