The reason this should be added is just preference, a lot of people that use windows and have this option enabled want it to work everywhere, which because of some goddamn odd reason, Microsoft didn’t force, but instead make programs have to opt-in to this option, the only browser that actually respects this and I know of is Firefox.
TL;DR It’s just personal preference for a some people.
