There was a post previously by @K0b0L which was closed with no solution. As I found a solution, I wanted to drop a quick post to help others that encounter the same problem.

Description of the issue:
Sound alerts are vital for any traders using tradingview. For some reason the sound stops working unexpectedly after upgrade or without any known cause and never comes back.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Wait for an alert to come or create a new alert easily triggered.
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Alert triggers only Pop-up Notifications without any sound
Expected result:
Alerts triggers with Sound + Pop-Up Notifications
Reproduces how often:
Once the issue starts, it allways repeats
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Currently settings:
- Win 10 1903
- Brave 0.67.124
Additional Information:
How to fix:
- On tradingview website, click on the lock next to address bar
- Click on site settings
- Under usage click Clear data & Under Permissions click Reset Permissions (regardless if “Allow” is set for all settings)
- Wait for next alert which will have sound and when the pop-up to change settings appers, click allow sound.
