I am running the following version of the Brave Browser…
Version 1.1.21 Chromium: 79.0.3945.79 (Official Build) (64-bit)
…under the following operating system version…
- macOS High Sierra (Version 10.13.6)
- Darwin marlin.local 17.7.0 Darwin Kernel Version 17.7.0: Fri Oct 4 23:08:59 PDT 2019; root:xnu-4570.71.57~1/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64 i386 iMac11,1 Darwin
…on the following hardware:
Late 2009 iMac, 27", 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7-860, 12 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB graphics, 1 TB hard drive
These are (as far as I know) the (only )relevant Brave browser settings which I currently have set:
- Appearance: Hide Brave Rewards button: Set
- Brave Rewards Settings: Have never opted in
Now, in addtion to never having opted in to the Brave Rewards program, I would furthermore like to have the option to opt out. I am convinced that by not having opted out (because of never having had the option to opt out of Brave Rewards) — in other words, because I perpetually remain in a state of not having opted in — the loading of random browser pages from sites otherwise having nothing to do with Brave seems either to be slower or to be interfered with in some way.
Regardless of whether or not what I’ve just stated is actually true is probably irrelevant, because my perception that it might be true nonetheless remains. Furthermore, I cannot see that there would ever be some event which might occur to make me change my mind about wanting to opt in to the Brave Rewards program, and, therefore, I really don’t want to be continually reminded of that fact.
So, let me state my feature request again: I would like to have the option/ability to remove the “Ready to start earning?” Brave Rewards tile from my new tab page, and, at present, that just doesn’t seem possible.
Thank you for your time and/or consideration.
