"Reopen Last Closed Window" results in non-functional tabs

#1

Steps to repro:

  • have a bunch of active Brave tabs
  • press Command Shift W (Mac) which closes the current brave window and its tabs
  • go to Brave’s History menu, then "Reopen Last Closed Window, it successfully re-opens the window with your tabs
  • but click on any of those tabs, and they remain white/non-functional; even if you change the URL and re-load one of those tabs, it won’t work.
  • if you add a new tabs, they function properly
  • if you quit brave completely, then re-launch it, your tabs are restored AND are functional

I don’t have an answer, just more questions on tabs. I don’t want to distract from your problem, Greg, but mine seems similar.

I have a bookmark folder that I control click on to open all bookmarks as tabs; there are 13 bookmarks including windy.com (it seems to have some odd behaviour). The order of tabs is random as opposed to being in the order of the bookmarks, but the same random order every time. After 12 tabs, the remaining tabs do not get close boxes when hovering. And after switching tabs a couple of times the icons on each tab get mixed up as do the titles of pages.

How long has the problem occurred for you?

#4

Relatively recent: I’d estimate it started within the last week or two. The feature did work as expected at point previously.

#5

Did you try a session restore at all? to see if Brave opened the tabs smoothly?
