Remove UTM and other trackers from URL string before opening link

Has there been any progress made on removing tracking parameters to URLs before clicking on a link? Namely, the “utm” parameters, but there are also others that Firefox has recently added too (https://www.reddit.com/r/technology/comments/vne4nt/new_firefox_privacy_feature_strips_urls_of/)?

I would prefer native support from the Brave development team rather then trusting a 3rd party small developer (e.g. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/remove-fbclid-and-utm/ehkdoijaaigomfliimepliikhjkoipob)

Do you mean like this?

Regarding utm I note the Reddit thread has some discussion about that one in particular, which seems to describe why this one is not included – apparently in either browser.

Brave already removes major tracking URL like fbclid, mkclid, gclid etc.
Though there is some extra developments to be done regarding it.
