Refused Uphold account, without specific reason

Briefly describe your issue:
Was denied Uphold account without giving any special reason. Sounds like Kafka here. I have no known financial issues or criminal activities whatsoever.

@blabert Uphold can deny for a lot of reasons. Nobody here is going to be able to help you with that. Keep in mind that they factor in a lot of decisions in their risk assessment and that it’s not always about you specifically, but could be issues in your region as well.

Because Brave didn’t get any contracts with other companies. As I have quoted from Brendan Eich long ago:

The process in having a business relationship with exchanges is more difficult than Users may realize. There are a lot of fees and other arrangements that need to be set up to happen.
That said, we are in talks with multiple and hoping to reach new deals to expand offerings. In fact, we can’t give details, but we have a major deal we’re hoping to reach soon that would make Users very happy. We are also always reaching out and trying to do business with other companies, but it takes time.

You did have Gemini available in your area, but that integration is down at the moment.

The big goal that Brave is actively working on right now is on chain payments. This means us being able to receive payments without having to go through a custodial account. It was announced several months ago but they haven’t released any official updates yet.

Until other options are provided, you have the option of whether you want to leave Rewards on to support Brave and Creators. If not, then you can turn it off and you won’t see ads. But unfortunately you won’t be able to earn for yourself either way until a custodial account becomes available or Brave implements on chain payouts.
