Sadly referral is not works for Linux. Only Windows, macOS, and mobile.

And do you know how referral technically work on desktop?

I mean i see the windows exe file for example has the referral reference suffixed to the exe name when downloading. So i guess in the install process is checked the exe name for suffix identification.

But after that, do this referral reference recorded in the browser connfiguration files (appdata and so on?)

I will to make a fresh install on a new windows computer and see.

I would love to have the Brave reference system on Linux, it would help to keep my projects based on Linux
