It may vary depends on what web hosting control panel that you use. But more or less, here’s a guide to add DNS TXT record https://id.godaddy.com/help/add-a-txt-record-19232
and have you a instruction for this one?
You also have the possibilty to use the brave payment plugin on your wordpress installation. The Instruction showed up when you wanted to register your site as a publisher, Im a carpenter also, and for me this worked very fine

my server support make a DNS on my website. and i see in my publisher daschboard > website = verify
but
when i go on my website and click of the brave toolbar > looks not verfiy
@lindholt basically, once you finish adding your site and you can see it’s listed under your publisher account, then it’s verified.
Your Brave require 24-48 hours to sync with latest publishers list. If it’s still shown unverified see Solutions for “not yet verified” bug
