Reduce 3-step procedure to a single step

Briefly describe your issue:
THIS IS NOT A MALFUNCTION.
Three steps are needed to open Brave and get a Private window. As I close Brave after using it on an important web site, it gets opened many times daily. Would be great if Private Window could be accessed by one click instead of THREE.

What Operating System and Brave version are you using (Menu --> About Brave)?
Mac OS Ventura 13.6.5, VPN is used,
Version 1.64.122 Chromium: 123.0.6312.122 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Is your Brave Rewards Profile currently verified? (yes/no) Do nodt have Brave rewards

What date did you connect a your Brave Rewards Profile? NA

Have you been able to successfully receive payments in the past? NA

Are you using a VPN? (yes/no) Yes

Are you in a supported region (see here for list of supported regions)? Washington State

Does your device pass the SafteyNet check (Android only)? Macintosh desktop, not Android

@Clyde,
First, I’ve gone ahead and moved your thread to the correct topic category.

For macOS, there are several ways to launch a Private browsing window.

When Brave is open and running
The easiest way to launch a Private window here would be to use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + N. This eliminates all clicks. Further, if you’d like to change the keybinding for this shortcut, you can do so in brave://settings/system/shortcuts.

When Brave is closed but not quit
Note that the distinction is important when using macOS as opposed to Windows or Linux OS. On macOS, unless the behavior is modified, clicking the red X button on the top-left of the browser window will close the browser

However, the browser process will still be running, as denoted by the “dot” underneath the browser icon on the macOS dock:

While in this state, you can reduce the steps only two clicks by right-clicking on the icon, then selecting New private window, which will launch a private window.

When the browser process is fully quit
Unfortunately there is no shortcut here — you’ll have to open the browser and launch a private window the old fashioned way (or by using the keyboard shortcut as mentioned above).

Hope this helps.
