Reddit daily email in gmail - links do not load

Not sure what’s going on here, seems odd. Clicking a link from reddit daily email in my gmail doesn’t work, loads a page that contains “{}”

Same link works just fine in Chrome.

Example link:
https: //click.redditmail.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Fwww.reddit.com%2Fr%2F3Dprinting%2Fcomments%2F11tpneo%2Fmy_first_big_print_52_hours_in%2F%3F$deep_link=true%26correlation_id=223f8139-e880-4ade-97a0-20648cd0ebba%26post_fullname=t3_11tpneo%26post_index=1%26ref=email_digest%26ref_campaign=email_digest%26ref_source=email%26utm_content=post_title/1/01000186f2859340-d1098d49-6460-47b0-a312-bf88a1319d11-000000/b3SnaLr9WI3QlBp3060gsUflvQUlu8_TLr1yI5occCw=292

Redirects to:
https: //reddit.app.link/3p?$3p=e_as&$original_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.reddit.com%2Fr%2F3Dprinting%2Fcomments%2F11tpneo%2Fmy_first_big_print_52_hours_in%2F%3F%24deep_link%3Dtrue%26correlation_id%3D223f8139-e880-4ade-97a0-20648cd0ebba%26post_fullname%3Dt3_11tpneo%26post_index%3D1%26ref%3Demail_digest%26ref_campaign%3Demail_digest%26ref_source%3Demail%26utm_content%3Dpost_title

in Brave Desktop.

Let me know if any additional info is required for troubleshooting. Thanks!

I am also having this issue and have been having it for the past 4-5 days. Copy links directly from the email and they work fine in Chrome but not in Brave.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open daily digest email from Reddit
  2. Click on a link to view the post
  3. New tab in browser is opened and takes me to a page with only {} on it.

Image of email

Second link from above email

Image of page opened when clicking link from email in Brave

URL in address bar after opening

Link copied from email and opened in Chrome

Full URL after opened in chrome

Reproduces how often: Always

Brave version: 1.49.120
Chromium: 111.0.5563.64 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Reproducible on current live release: Yes

Additional information: I am using Windows 10 19044.2728 Experience Pack 120.2212.4190.0

I had the same problem, but it’s working as normal again today.

Interestingly, Brave is still on exactly the same version, so perhaps it was a problem handling that specific user agent on the Reddit side?

Glad I wasn’t going crazy. Seems to be working for me as of today as well. Thanks guys!
