Reader Mode or View

Does the Brave desktop browser have a reader mode or view? If so, how do I find it?

Thank you

Yes, simply click on the menu icon in the upper right corner and then select “Distill page.”

The “distill page” does nothing; It doesn’t work.

It works fine here. I am using a Windows 7, 32-bit system, for what it’s worth. I have the latest version of Brave, also.

Perhaps, somebody else can troubleshoot it for you. I don’t know what to say.

I too am using a 32-bit system but with Windows 10. Never the less, it doesn’t work. But thank you for your effort and attempt to help.

I’ve discovered that the reader mode has to be enabled first. In order to do this, open a new tab and enter, Brave://flags/#enable-reader-mode
switch the setting to enable and then relaunch.

Huh. I didn’t know about the Distill Page trick. It works, but breaks a couple of things and I can’t figure out how to get back to the original format. That’s fine, AFAIC, b/c I use an extension that has more options built in and allows customization of its css that might be more appealing to @Sal:

To go back to the original format just hit the back button.

Tried that many times to no avail, @Sal, but thanks.
