Random connection issues - ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

Getting some very random (but continuous) connection issues using Brave over the past 2 weeks.

Probably once every 10-15 minutes, a random site will give me a “ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED” error and will either refresh within a few seconds and work, or will need an actual refresh.

I’ve tested and so far its not my own connection (VPN on and off), and running Chrome doesn’t seem to have that issue.

The only extensions running are a screen capture and google translator.

Brave is the most recent version.

Anyone else seeing this recently?

It could be a router or firewall issue, but since i can’t seem to replicate on chrome, I don’t know how to assess that.

Can you try creating a new profile and seeing if the issue persists?
Click on the menu icon in the top right corner > create new profile.

Also, what build and version of Brave are you using?

Hi thanks for the reply.

After more testing - I went to using Chrome 100% yesterday (can’t believe the ads i had!) - the problem started happening there too. So it has to be my computer or router issues.
So lets mark this as closed. Brave still works great.
