Question about new Paywall filter list

on the gitlab for bypass paywalls clean, under troubleshooting,

there’s a section about Brave’s auto-redirect of AMP, and issues that can arise because of it, does the filter list that was just added have a way of avoiding this in some way, and if not, is there plans to make exceptions for this into the future?

Also does the new filter list have the same functionality as the extension?

Its not as featureful as the extension, the extension will probably get around more paywalls than the list. But for those who don’t want to install an extension (or on mobile), it seems to work well is in most cases.
