On https://docs.google.com (for Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, etc), and possibly for https://drive.google.com, Google supports editing despite a degrated experience. Since you’re using a Google service intentionally, you may choose to switch Shields settings from from Aggressively Block Trackers & Ads to Block Trackers & Ads, to use Google Docs without text rendering over itself at the front of the line, cursors only shown at the beginning of the line despite normal behavior, and similar rendering and editing issues.
