Description of the issue:
I have been using IPFS Desktop to access files on the network, but I’d like to try the built in local node. This, however, does not work on my computer and I think I may know what the reason is. When I set the resolve method to “Ask” and go to ipfs: to configure the built in node, I’m met with and exclamation point and the following message: “IPFS Service launch error”. I suspect this is because I previously attempted to create node using this method but lacked the required storage (I have a very low-capacity C:\ drive), resulting in the browser being confused because it lacks necessary resources.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Set IPFS resolve method to ask.
- Go to ipfs:
- Choose ‘Local node’ (this will, of course, likely not be an issue for most)
Expected result:
This should obviously initiate an IPFS node.
