Problem with Google meet / WebGL Ubuntu 22.04

Hi,

after update to latest version

Version 1.39.111 Chromium: 102.0.5005.61 (Official Build) (64-bit)

on Ubuntu 21.10 I have problem with virtual background in google meet.

I test WebGL support for Google meets on:
https://webglreport.com/
Using brave I get:

Major Performance Caveat: Yes

I think this is the reason why I get information like this:

To use visual effects, turn on hardware acceleration in your browser settings

when I try to apply visual effects on google meets.

While using the same webpage with latest chromium

Version 102.0.5005.61 (Official Build) snap (64-bit)

there is no problem with WebGL and virtual background in google meet.

Both are from snap:

$ snap list chromium --all
Name Version Rev Tracking Publisher Notes
chromium 101.0.4951.64 1993 latest/stable canonicalâś“ disabled
chromium 102.0.5005.61 2000 latest/stable canonicalâś“ -

$ snap list brave --all
Name Version Rev Tracking Publisher Notes
brave 1.38.119 161 latest/stable brave disabled
brave 1.39.111 162 latest/stable brave -

I should mention that I don’t user Wayland:

[daemon]
# Uncomment the line below to force the login screen to use Xorg
WaylandEnable=false

What can be the reson for such a behaviour?

The same is on ubuntu 22.04 (I upgraded my OS).

Same on 20.04 -
can’t apply visual effects in brave (Version 1.40.107 Chromium: 103.0.5060.53 (Official Build) (64-bit) with webglreport: Major Performance Caveat: Yes
can apply in Chrome (Version 103.0.5060.53 (Official Build) (64-bit)) with webglreport: Major Performance Caveat: No

Found a Solution to WebGL , make sure these are all enabled and the google meet visual filters will work.
