Prime Video does Play on Latest with Shields Activated

Description of the issue:
After getting the latest today (Version 0.57.18 Chromium: 71.0.3578.80) and reinstalling Widevine, trying to play a video on Amazon Prime shows infinite loading. When I turn off the Shields, and restart the video, it then plays right away. Even turning off just Adds/Trackers doesn’t resolve it. Seems only when shields are completely down.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

  1. Open a Prime video through amazon.com
  2. Play
  3. Loading loop broken only by message that it’s taking a long time to load (continuing doesn’t fix)
  4. Turn off shields
  5. Access the same video
  6. Play
  7. Video now plays

Expected result:
Expected plays with shields up

Reproduces how often:
Seems 100% consistent since latest update.

Brave Version(about:brave):
Version 0.57.18 Chromium: 71.0.3578.80

Reproducible on current live release (yes/no):
Yes

Thanks!

It may not be ads/tracking, but rather cookies being blocked preventing this.

Try to isolate which shields setting is breaking the site by toggling then on/off. I’m able to watch prime video with out issue.

Oh, you are totally right - I didn’t pay attention to the settings that didn’t have sliders

Setting cookies to “All Cookies Allowed” did the trick. Thanks for pointing that out!
