1)I can’t complete a search when using site:fi to get local results. I get a PoW Captcha saying this: (I don’t want data storage.)
This page needs to store data in your browser.
Looks like your browser does not support storing data. That is needed to store the temporary cookie access token which allows you to access Brave Search after solving a captcha challenge.
Here are a few things you can check:
- If you are using Brave Browser, check the
brave://settings/content/siteData
page to see if you have allowed Brave Search to store data.

The location setting always shows U.S. whether I click Finland or not. Once in a while I get Finland results and I can’t figure out what the magic trick is.

I’ve been getting a lot of these jump through hoops prompts lately - the last week or so. I always use proton vpn and I see others are having similar problems using vpns. I’m not using a custom dns.

I have my language set as English and I am searching in Finland. This seems to be a problem I brought here before. The browser doesn’t like it and I usually can’t get the regional setting to be anything other than U.S. My vpn is set for Finland too. I am only here for the browser, not earning cryptocurrency for watching ads - I recall that being a factor with this issue.
