Points Guy website can't be accessed

Description of the issue

Every time I visit “The Points Guy” travel site on Brave desktop browser I cannot access the site at all. I just get an error message that says “Site can’t be reached.” This happens when I try to go directly to the site and when I click a redirecting link from an email. The site does work on the Brave mobile browser, but I have never gotten it to work on the desktop version.

@Chuzzlewit,
Thank you for reaching out.
First, I’d like to point out that the latest Brave version is 0.64.77 – please ensure that you’ve updated to the latest release.

As for your issue, I’m able to visit the site and browse without issue – I do notice that the site hangs * very briefly* before loading the requested page, but other than that it’s working as intended:

Can you try clearing site data and permissions for the website and trying to load the page again?

  1. Click the “lock” icon in the address bar image
  2. Click Site Settings
  3. Select both Clear data and Reset permissions
  4. Close/relaunch Brave and attempt to visit the site again.

Let me know if this resolves the issue for you.

Thanks everyone! Got it working. Have to say I’m impressed by the responsiveness of the community here.

Much obliged!
