Please support verification via meta tag in homepage and/or verification file in root folder, don't require https

Hi, I’m trying to get my (Wordpress) site verified to no avail. It really seems to boil down to the fact that I’m not using https. So once I have implemented it, I’ll get back here if I still encounter problems getting verified.
