Pinning a tab shuts down Brave

Summary: When I right click a tab to pin it, Brave closes. (When I open Brave again, the tab is pinned).

@mgroves, excellent report!
I was unable to reproduce this:

Does this happen every time you try to pin a tab? cc @sriram for more info.

Additionally, I’m not sure if you were aware but the Brave Beta was released fairly recently. Fixes a ton of issues (like the one you’re experiencing now) present in the live release. I’d highly recommend it:

The only time it doesn’t seem to happen is if I try to pin a URL that I’ve already pinned. I’d be happy to jump on a screenshare call with you for a few minutes if you want me to demonstrate or have me try different scenarios.

Still no joy. Was able to pin each site I had already pinned twice.
Looks like this is regressive behavior as it sounds a lot like this issue from some time ago:

Give the nature of the issue, I’d say this is unlikely to be fixed since we’re moving over to out newer Brave builds in preparation for 1.0 this November. I would again highly recommend switching over to the Beta Build. I can assure you tabs pin without issue there!

Yeah that sounds similar. I just installed beta version, it is not closing when I try to pin.
